THE ORIGIN OF PATI PESANTENAN REGENCY

Once upon a time there was a region  called  Duchy   Paranggaruda .   T he regent had a son named Raden J osari  or more popular as Menak J osar i. He was ugly and physically disabled. Menak  Josari  fell in love with Dewi Ruyung Wulan, a daughter of  Puspo Handung Joyo from  Duchy Carangsoko. “Dad, I wanna marry Ruyungwulan….owh, she is the most beautiful girl in this world, don’t you think so daddy?” “ Of course my dear…. Tomorrow we will propose that beautiful angel.” Dewi Ruyung Wulan didn’t like Menak J osari ,  so she asked him a condition to find a set of Gamelan that can play by themselves without anyone playing them. Menak Josari was so upset with this request. He wasn’t used to Then his father asked Patih singopati and Yuyu Rumpung to find that kind of Gamelan. “ Both of you must find the Gamelan. I don’t want to make my son disappointed. Never come back before you find them!” Yudhopati said. Fortunately, after several months Patih Singopati found Ki Dalang Sopo

Honesty is an expensive give, don’t hope it from cheap people

Bagian 2 “Today is the ‘show your skill day’…..please prepare to present your Haiku! I’ll give an extra point for anyone of you who present it the first time.” “What’s the matter, Alief?” “Emm, I am so sorry Mom. May I talk to you?” Mrs Enje tersenyum geli, “We’re talking now, aren’t we?” “Hehe…Iya bu.” Hatiku mulai tenang mendengar candaan bu Enje. “Mom, I apologize….saya belum mengerjakan tugas Mrs. Enje. Saya salah bu, karena saya tidak masuk minggu lalu dan saya juga lupa bertanya pada teman-teman tentang pelajaran minggu lalu.” “Well, you know that you are wrong. So, what will you do?”

Bagian 1 “Saya nggak mau satu kelompok dengan Alief bu, saya ikut kelompok Eko saja.” Arif melirikku sinis.

haiku

The Definition A syllable is a part of a word pronounced as a unit.  It is usually made up of a vowel alone or a vowel with one or more consonants.  The word "Haiku" has two syllables:  Hai-ku; the word "introduction" has four syllables:  in-tro-duc-tion. "Haiku" is a traditional form of Japanese poetry.  Haiku poems consist of 3 lines.  The first and last lines of a Haiku have 5 syllables and the middle line has 7 syllables.  The lines rarely rhyme. Here's an example of Haiku: I am in the crowd I see nothing hear no sound- Just whispering wind Since Haikus are such short poems, they are usually written about things that are recognizable to the reader.  Animals and seasons are examples of recognizable topics children might enjoy exploring. What  am I? Haikus: These haikus act like a riddle.  The writer uses the Haiku to describe something.  The other children in the class can guess what the poet was describing after listening to or rea

The Fall of Our Mosque

By; A A Nafis Looking at this neglected mosque reminds me of “kakek”, an old man who once stayed and took care of it. He was an unemployment. He fed himself from the alms he gathered every Friday. He also got ¼ of goldfish harvest twice a year and once in a year people gave him obligatory alms or we called it Zakat Fitrah. Well as a Garin (that’s what we call it) he wasn’t very popular. He was known as the knife grinder because he was an expert. People usually gave him chili sauce (sambal), cigarettes or money for grinding their knives but he never ask for anything. Moreoften, he got smile and thank you. I still remember that day, when I visited him. He was sitting at the corner holding his feet and resting his head on his knees. He looked so sad even he didn’t answer my greeting, something he’d never done before. “Whose knife is this kakek?” “Ajo Sidi’s.” “Ajo Sidi’s?” He was silent. For a moment I thought about Ajo Sidi. He was an unusual story teller. He always told a s

Eureka Eureka

Eureka Eureka Long long time ago, at about 2.200 years ago, there was King Hieron II of Syracuse in Sicily. The King wanted to wear a Golden Crown. He gave some gold to a goldsmith to make a suitable crown. After few days, the goldsmith brought the finished crown to the King. “O...My Lord...here is the magnificent crown I’ve made.”  The king was glad and accept the crown. But when the King looked at the color of the crown, he had a suspicion. “The goldsmith could have stolen some gold from the gold I gave to him,” he thought.   “Goldsmith, did you use all the gold I gave  you?” “ O, my Lord...for the God shake of course I used all the gold you gave me. If you don’t believe, please weigh the crown.” Then the crown was weighed. The weight of the crown was equal to the gold given to the goldsmith by the King...However, the King still didn’t believe in him. “Well, goldsmith...although it has the same weight with the gold but the color is really different from pure gold. What i
